Samantha Allies Wungundin is an emerging artist and arts worker at the Mowanjum Art and Culture Centre. Her duties at the Centre include preparing artist materials, facilitating workshops for visitors, as well as assisting artists in the studio and on country. Recently Samantha has enjoyed learning colour mixing and curatorial practice.
In 2014 Samantha won the Kimberly Art Prize Emerging Artist Award for her carved boab nut, Wandjina Dreaming. Recently she was selected for the 2015 Revealed Emerging Artist Development and Exhibition program in Perth. Samantha also comes from a family of artists including her mother, Nancy Wungundin and sister Tanisha Allies Wungundin.
