Samantha Allies Wungundin is an emerging artist and Studio Assistant at the Mowanjum Art and Culture Centre. Samantha comes from a family of artists including her mother, Nancy Wungundin, and sister, Tanisha Allies Wungundin.
In 2014 Samantha won the Kimberly Art Prize Emerging Artist Award for her carved boab nut, Wandjina Dreaming. She was also selected for the 2015 Revealed Emerging Artist Development and Exhibition program in Perth, WA. Recently, Samantha has enjoyed learning colour mixing and curatorial practice.
In her role as a Studio Assistant at the Centre, her duties include preparing artist materials, maintaining artist information, facilitating workshops for visitors, as well as assisting artists in the studio and on country.
